Welcome to the Fitness Trackr. This application is used to track the progress of your fitness tests and present some statistics pertaining to those fitness tests.
Fitness Trackr is developed and maintained by me, Marcin Popielarz. Why was the application written? There were two factors that motivated me to write the Fitness Trackr application. The first reason is that I've been playing ice hockey for quite a while. For the last 6 years or so, the amateur leagues I was involved in started tracking people's statistics on their websites. It was extra rewarding to see how I fared against other players in the league and how I did compared to my teammates. Furthermore, as stated in Dale Carnegie's classic book "How to win friends and influence people",
Remember that a person's name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.I loved seeing my name out there and being able to see my achievements. The second reason is that I wanted to write a web application and put it out there. As some of you know, I write web applications for a living, but I wanted to have something of my own.
But enough about me; lets talk about you!
Fitness Trackr is an application that aims to reward you for your efforts. Following the hard work you put in the training sessions, you feel better, you gain confidence and people strangely compliment you a lot more. Fitness Trackr adds to this. It shows you how far you've come, it highlights your accomplishments and hopefully it gives you a little bit of extra motivation to outdo yourself. For the competitive ones, the Fitness Trackr shows how you rank among your peers. Are you the undisputed sit-up king or queen? Can you run faster than anyone else in the program? The application will tell.
So log on to Fitness Trackr using your favourite browsers or smart phone at www.fitnesstrackr.net (you'll be redirected to the mobile version of the application if you are using a smart phone such as the iPhone or an Android phone). If you have been registered, you should have gotten an email containing your login credentials.
